Advantages of the product

Industrial-Grade Fiber Laser Sources Ensure Deep Penetration and High-Speed Welding Across Diverse Metal Alloys

Utilizing advanced fiber laser technology, these machines provide high power density for deep penetration with a narrow heat-affected zone, drastically reducing thermal distortion and post-processing needs. Welding speeds reach up to 10 meters per minute on thin materials while maintaining integrity on reflective metals like aluminum and copper. Photoelectric conversion efficiency exceeds 30%, lowering energy consumption in high-volume production. The long-life diode-pumped source ensures stable power output for tens of thousands of hours, eliminating downtime associated with traditional lamp or crystal replacement. This robust performance is critical for industries requiring consistent seam quality in automotive components, battery trays, and precision medical device housings where reliability and repeatability are non-negotiable manufacturing metrics.

Superior Beam Delivery with Galvanometer Scanner Options for Remote Welding and High Throughput Applications

Optional 2D and 3D galvanometer scanning heads utilize rapidly tilting mirrors to position the beam, eliminating physical head travel and reducing idle time between weld spots by up to 80%. This remote welding technique executes hundreds of stitch welds per minute on large components like automotive seat frames or heat exchanger plates. The scan field covers up to 200mm x 200mm while software compensates for optical path variations to maintain consistent spot size and focus depth. This technology is particularly effective for welding copper hairpins in electric motor stators, where minimal spatter prevents electrical shorts. High throughput capability directly enhances manufacturing return on investment under tight takt time constraints, making it ideal for high-volume production environments.

Common problem

What materials can a fiber laser welding machine effectively join?

Fiber laser welding machines excel with metals including stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum alloys, copper, brass, titanium, and nickel alloys. The 1-micron wavelength is highly absorbed by these metals, allowing for efficient energy transfer. Copper and aluminum welding is particularly effective due to advanced beam modulation that prevents reflectivity issues and porosity. Dissimilar metal combinations like copper to aluminum or steel to nickel are also achievable with appropriate parameter optimization.
Laser welding offers significantly higher speed, up to 10 meters per minute on thin materials, versus inches per minute with TIG. The heat-affected zone (HAZ) is 60-80% smaller, resulting in minimal part distortion and eliminating the need for post-weld straightening. Laser welding often produces a clean, narrow seam that requires no grinding or filler metal, reducing consumable costs and labor. However, it requires tighter part fit-up tolerances than MIG welding.
A Class 4 laser requires a fully enclosed light-tight safety enclosure or a dedicated laser safety room with interlocked doors. Operators must wear safety glasses rated for the specific laser wavelength. The work area must have non-reflective surfaces to prevent stray beam reflection. Fume extraction is mandatory to remove metal vapor and particulates from the breathing zone. The machine control system will shut down the laser immediately if the enclosure door is opened during operation.

Sophia
Outstanding Technical Support and Application Knowledge from the Team

We were hesitant to move to laser welding for our titanium medical device line. The application team ran multiple tests on our specific alloys and provided a full weld parameter matrix before we even signed the order. Installation was smooth and the training was comprehensive. They clearly have decades of experience behind the machine design.

Compact Footprint but Heavy-Duty Industrial Construction

We replaced a large automated TIG setup with a 3-axis laser workstation. It takes up half the floor space. The cast machine base is incredibly rigid, which we noticed immediately reduces vibration during high-speed stitch welding. The enclosure quality is top-tier, very robust safety glass and thick metal panels. It is built to survive a busy factory floor environment.
